Wrapped Up

Finally I've managed to upload an outfit post after a few weeks hiatus due to uni work and lots of other things. I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to shoot any photos for ages. These are actually shots from about a month ago that I didn't get around to posting. Even so, it's still an awesome outfit that I wore just last week to Fashion Weekend (with different heels and my floral blazer). I'm loving wrap skirts at the moment. They're everywhere and everybody has one. I love the detailed jacquard overlay in mine mixed with the leather look underneath. It's super comfortable and, just like most of my clothes, I can dress this outfit up or down.

I'm wearing:
Top - Keepsake
Skirt - Sportsgirl

Pole Class

I thought I'd mix things up today with a bit of a different post. My friend asked me to come along with her and try pole dancing at the studio she goes to. I loved it so much after just one class that I'm going to sign up. It's so much fun and I would recommend it to everybody. Here's a short snippet of what I learnt...

21!

Here are some pics from my 21st a few weeks ago. It was my first birthday at home in seven years, so it was awesome to be able to spend it with my family in Brisbane. It was so much fun and I got to wear my new dress and shoes out too!

I'm wearing:
Dress - Sass & Bide

Sport Luxe

Everyone needs a bit of sport luxe in their life! As an athlete, there's nothing I love more than bumming around in sports gear, a hoodie and runners. More often than not though the athletic look doesn't cut it when I'm going between appointments, uni and fashion classes.

Sometimes I don't have time to get all dolled up when I need to leave the house. The casual sporty look is my go to on crazy hectic days. It's a step up from my everyday training attire but also a chic way to go for comfort.

I'm wearing:
Top - similar herehere and here
Shorts - similar here and in white here
Sneakers - in red, tan and multi

New Romantics

This could quite possibly be the cutest little playsuit ever! I had my eye on this organza daisy print number for ages last season until I got it for Christmas. Since the cold weather is starting to kick in, I couldn't not dedicate a post to it before summer well and truly disappears.

I'm wearing:
Playsuit - Shakuhachi
Heels - Tony Bianco
Bag - Mimco
Belt - Forever New

Flowers & Hide

What happened to the sunshine?! The past few weeks have brought nothing but rain and it's been freezing cold too. Last time I checked it's not winter just yet! Given that I'm still wearing elements of my summer wardrobe though, it's probably not that cold, but I'm struggling to let go of the warm weather all the same.

As it was such a nice day on Sunday (and after having to put up with seeing countless amounts of photos from fashion bloggers from Coachella all week long), I had the urge to wear this somewhat festival inspired outfit. It looks super cute paired with my colourful floral cuff and flower painted nails. Now all I need is for the sunshine to stay...at least for a little while I hope.

I'm wearing:
Top - Ally Fashion
Shorts - Oneoneseven
Boots - Windsor Smith
Bag - Natasha
Jewellery - My Island Home floral cuff, Low Luv hand cuff, old necklace

Label Lust: Shakuhachi AW13 Parallel Lines

This isn't the first time I've fallen in love with a Shakuhachi collection. It seems that I'm reliving spring/summer all over again when it comes to lusting after each and every piece in this collection. Shakuhachi's AW13 Parallel Lines sees texture and print clash together in perfect disarray. Block colours are combined with an eclectic mix of prints - yellow, tangerine and citrus with bandana, leopard and bold black-and-white stripes.  It's the perfect and unparalleled sleek 90's winter inspiration!
